The real alternative to high output with lower costs
With Stage V emissions legislation requiring all-new diesel engines over 19kW (26hp) to include DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) technology, it’s likely that diesel power unit costs will increase. The Arborist 150p offers our customers a cost-effective alternative to diesel-powered chippers over 19kW.
The Arborist 150 is already the top-selling chipper in Europe in its class, but by installing a high-output 37hp Vanguard Air-cooled twin, petrol engine, GreenMech can now offer close to similar performance to the diesel-engined Arborist 150, but at a much lower cost.
Like all GreenMech Arborist chippers, the Arborist 150p is designed with the same proven, deep-beam, high tensile steel chassis construction for strength and reliability. Insulated steel panels provide excellent noise reduction and the panels can be easily removed to give good access for routine maintenance.
A generous 970mm x 790mm in-feed hopper which aids bushy brash reduction, coupled with a 150mm x 230mm letterbox-style in-feed throat opening enables heavily forked branches to be fed easily. This has the effect of reducing the number of chainsaw cuts by hundreds per day and thereby increasing output.
The twin vertical hydraulic rollers efficiently crush wood material with minimal lateral movement. The electronically controlled ‘No-Stress’ feed system reverses the feed rollers to relieve the chipper blades, allowing the rotor speed to maintain optimum chipping speed, therefore increasing output.
